Pineqone follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

3. Cookies and Web Beacons

Like any other website, Pineqone uses 'cookies'. These cookies are used to store information including visitors' preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users' experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors' browser type and/or other information.

We want to process as little personal information as possible when you use our website. That's why we've chosen an Analytics Service Provider, which doesn't use cookies and complies with the GDPR, ePrivacy (including PECR), COPPA and CCPA. Using this privacy-friendly website analytics software, your IP address is only briefly processed, and we (running this website) have no way of identifying you. As per the CCPA, your personal information is de-identified.

The purpose of us using this software is to understand our website traffic in the most privacy-friendly way possible so that we can continually improve our website and business. The lawful basis as per the GDPR is "Article 6(1)(f); where our legitimate interests are to improve our website and business continually." As per the explanation, no personal data is stored over time.

To run Pineqone, we collect and process the following kinds of information.

User profile data

You can also sign up for Pineqone using your email and a password. We will retain this information to authenticate you and occasionally contact you with product updates and account changes.

Once signed into Pineqone, you may set a username, and home base location to display on your profile. This information will be used as a part of your public profile on Pineqone for readers to get to know you, and is associated with your posts.

Trip plan data

When using Pineqone, you may mark specific places and attractions, write comments, as well as provide any additional information. This data will be stored and shown when someone views a trip log that you have authored and shared.

Deleting your data

To delete your account and associated user data, you may do so on the Profile Page. Our system will fully delete your account and any stored data immediately.

5. Third Party Advertisers

Third-party ad servers or ad networks use technologies like cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons that are used in their respective advertisements and links that appear on Pineqone, which are sent directly to users' browser. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. These technologies are used to measure the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns and/or to personalize the advertising content that you see on websites that you visit.

Note that Pineqone has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers.

6. Third Party Privacy Policies

The Pineqone Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers or websites. Thus, we are advising you to consult the respective Privacy Policies of these third-party ad servers for more detailed information. It may include their practices and instructions about how to opt-out of certain options.
