FAQ

How do I use Pineqone to plan a trip?

Pineqone lets you explore various destinations around the world. Feel free to explore each destination's most popular sights & attractions, information about culture, climate, prices, and more. You can mark each attraction you like and it will be added to your trip. After that, use our Planner to pick the dates for your trip and start creating your itinerary!

You can also check out our pre-made travel plans and edit them to your liking.

Alternatively, you can head straight to our Planner and start planning right away. It's all up to you!

Once you are happy with your plan, you can save it to your profile and access it at any time, or directly send it to your email.

Is it really free?

Yes!

How does the site support itself?

When users book their accommodation, flights, tours & other services through our partners, we receive a small commission.

Do you sell my personal data?

No! We do not share your data with outside parties in any shape of form. You can read about our Terms and Conditions here and our Privacy Policy here.

When planning my trip, I'd like to stay at a town that is not listed on the site. Can I set a custom location for my overnight stay?

Yes! Simply type the name of the place in the search bar, and it will appear as a Custom place. If you believe we missed a major destination, please let us know.

How can I view my plan in Google Maps?

Once you've sent the plan to your e-mail, you will receive a CSV file along with it.

It contains the coordinates for each place of interest that you have selected for your trip. Please bear in mind that a Google account is required for the next steps.

First, you will need to go to My Maps .

Then, you must select 'Create a new map'. Once the map loads, you must import the CSV file. The Import button is located on the left sidebar menu, below 'Untitled layer'. Note that if you're on mobile, you may need to open the sidebar menu using the 'Legend' button.

Next, you will be prompted to choose which columns to use to position the placemarks. Latitude and Longitude should already be selected. If not, select them. Make sure only those two columns are selected!

After clicking 'Continue', you will be prompted to choose a column to title your markers. Select 'Name'. Finally, click 'Finish' and wait until all the markers have been loaded. You may now choose a title for your map.

That's it! You can now load your map from any device as long as you are logged in with our Google account!

Optionally, you may also wish to color-code your markers and group them by date. To do that, you must click on 'Individual styles', which is located below the newly added map layer. On the newly opened menu, click below 'Group places by' and select 'Style by data column - date' in the dropdown menu.

That's it, you're all set!

There are some great places/attractions in my area which are missing from the website. Can I add them to Pineqone?
