Transportation

London has one of the best public transportation networks in the world. Getting around is incredibly easy using the vast rail network, buses and trams.
The recommended way to travel is using pay-as-you-go. There is a daily cap on the fare, so don't worry if you have numerous trips ahead of you. You can use an Oyster card or Contactless payment.
We suggest that you check out the Transport For London official website. There you will find maps of all the transportation networks, as well as all the information you will need on  fares, any ongoing delays, etc.

Alternatively, you may opt for a private car service. Taxis, like the iconic black cabs, are widespread and can be called using Gett - the official black cab app. Ride hailing service like Uber or Bolt are also widely available.

Cash vs Card, Tipping

Cards are the most widespread method of payment. Most establishments don't even accept cash, so be sure to take that into account.

It is customary to leave 10 to 15% of the bill when eating out. However, restaurants often include a service charge, so it's worth checking your bill if you don't want to tip twice.
